INTRODUCTION
This course provides training on hearing conservation program and awareness at workplace. The training content include introduction to noise, regulations on noise exposures, hearing mechanism and its effects, hearing conservation program management, personal hearing protection (PHP) and introduction of audiometric testing. According to the Noise Exposure Regulation 2019, each employee who is subjected to an excessive amount of noise is required to undertake an annual audiometric test, and training is required to take place on an annual basis.
OBJECTIVES
At the end of the program, participant should be able to: -
List out legal provision related to noise exposure.
Interpret the element of hearing conservation program as stipulated under the OSH (Noise Exposure) Regulations 2019.
Explain methods to control noise exposure at workplace.
Determine and maintain the appropriate Personal Hearing Protectors (PHP).
Describe the duties of hearing conservation administrator (HCA).
